MIRI: Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts I, Datuk Sebastian Ting, hopes neighbouring Brunei will also reopen its borders to revive the tourism industry.

“With Malaysia reopening its borders on April 1, we hope Brunei will follow suit,” he said at the ‘Sayangi Miri photography 2022’ contest prize presentation on Sunday.

On Sarawak Tourism Board’s (STB) Sia Sitok Sarawak (SSS) 3.0 and Sia Sitok Sarawak Accommodation (SSSA) 2.0 campaign  early this month, Ting hoped it would help boost the industry.

“This homegrown brand and campaign has grown from strength to strength, cementing our confidence in the culture, adventure, nature, food and festivals (CANFF) of our state. With SSS 3.0 and SSSA 2.0, we have expanded the number of packages available, giving Sarawakians even more opportunities to discover the uniqueness of our beautiful Sarawak,” Ting pointed out.

Thus, he urged Sarawakians to leverage on this exclusive opportunity and grab the limited SSS 3.0 and SSSA 2.0 deals to discover the beautiful culture, adventure and nature in the state.
