KUCHING: With just a day away from the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Borneo Cultures Museum Restaurant (BCMR) is offering its ‘Juh Makan Di Museum’ buffet package.

Themed ‘Rasa Kampung’, the buffet spread is made available from March 27 to April 20, 2023 from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Present at the launching ceremony on Monday evening (March 20) were Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and wife Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jaabar.

According to the restaurant’s spokesperson, variety of local dishes and kueh will be served with a daily change in the menu.

The menu includes brown rice, ‘daging kicap’, ‘daging rendang’, ‘siput sedut masak lemak cili api’, ‘ayam kurma’, ‘udang goreng tepung daun kari’, ‘labu masak lemak’, ‘sambal sotong’, grilled lamb leg, grilled chicken teriyaki and satays.

Desserts options include bread pudding, ‘bongkol’, ‘tepung pelita’ and ‘kosoi pandan’.

As the early bird tickets are now sold out, fret not as the restaurant also offers walk-ins at the price of RM78/nett per adult and RM38/nett for kids aged 6-12 years old.

For Muslim guests’ convenience, a prayer room is also provided.
