PADAWAN: Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil has introduced a special fund to support students in the Mambong constituency.

Dr Jerip who is also the Mambong assemblyman, said that emphasis is placed on the importance of education for the new generation, and that Mambong requires new leadership.

“New generation leaders must be capable of driving community development, whether in the private or public sector,” he said.

He said this in his speech at the Excellent Student Appreciation Ceremony of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pangkalan Ampat held here recently.

Dr Jerip also praised the school’s commitment to ensuring that students, teachers, and parents play vital roles in enhancing the school’s excellence.

At the same event, he announced an allocation of RM50,000 for the year 2025 to improve SK Pangkalan Ampat’s infrastructure and facilities.

He also assured that the road construction project from Kampung Abang to Kampung Jaber is currently in the tender stage under the Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) and is expected to be fully completed by 2026.
