MIRI: A burger operator in Tanjong Lobang was shocked to find a slithering snake inside his stall this afternoon.

The half metre long pit viper (ular kapak) was spotted hanging inside his burger stall while he was doing some cleaning up.

It was made to understand that prior to the incident, the man was just about to start his business hours.

Terrified, the 27-year-old man immediately called up the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for help.

According to Miri APM officer-in-charge, Lt Mirwan Shah Masri, four of his personnel were immediately mobilised to the scene upon receiving the alert at 12.28 pm.

“Upon arrived at the scene, our personnel subsequently managed to remove the reptile safely using our special tool,” he said.

APM personnel successfully removed the reptile.
