SIBU: Member of Parliament for Sibu Oscar Ling Chai Yew has allocated funds under the Program Mesra Rakyat Kerajaan Madani 2024 (PMR) to upgrade teaching facilities at four schools here today (Jan 7).
“Schools must keep up with modern advancements to prepare students for global challenges,” Ling said.
“Teachers also need to adapt to the evolving demands by mastering technological tools to enhance teaching efficiency.”
He said the initiative saw SMK Kwong Hua receive 13 projectors, five desktop computers, four photocopiers, five visualisers and four VGA cables.
At SJK(C) Kwong Hua, Ling said he provided three each for laptop, projector, and photocopier, that greatly enhancing teaching convenience for the educators.
SJK(C) Boi Ing received a 55-inch smart television, two projectors, two desktop computers, two photocopiers, four standing fans and two metal cabinets.
Meanwhile, SJK(C) Chung Hua received a large 4.7-metre by 2.65-metre LED screen for its school hall.
The LED screen will be used to display videos and information during various school events and entertainment programmes.
