MIRI: A family in Kampung Wireless on Saturday night had a terrifying moment, when a one-metre long python entered their home.
The family was watching television when they spotted the reptile slithering into their living room.
A team of Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) rushed to the scene after receiving an alert call at 7.29 pm.
According to Miri APM officer in-charge Lt Mirwan Shah Masri, his personnel managed to catch the snake using a special tool in less than 10 minutes. It was found to have hidden behind the television’s cabinet.
The snake was later released into the wild away from human habitation.
