KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 292 new Covid-19 cases yesterday (Nov 19), a slight drop compared to the previous day’s 311.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said 287 of the total number of cases comprised Categories 1 and 2, while five were Categories 3, 4 and 5.
Kuching accounted for the highest number of cases at 119 followed by Miri (34); Bintulu (29); Sibu (23); Serian (18); Limbang (16); Simunjan (eight); Lawas (seven); Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Bau (four each).
Three new cases were each reported in Saratok, Dalat, and Tebedu while Mukah, Lundu, Kanowit, and Subis reported two cases each.
Kapit, Meradong, Song, Asajaya, Betong, Selangau, Matu, Tatau, and Bukit Mabong reported one case each. This brings the cumulative cases in the state to 248,836.
Meanwhile, SDMC also declared four fatalities on Nov 17 where the deaths consist of victims aged between 53 and 91 years old from Samarahan, Kuching and Sibu.
