MARUDI: A human skull and bones were found at a bush near Kampung Narum here yesterday morning.
Acting Baram police chief ASP Jaimi Husin revealed that the bones and skull were found at the area around 11am by a team of patrol officers.
“The team also found a Perodua Kelisa with the vehicle registration number QKY 1789 about two metres away from where the bones were discovered,” he said.
He added that a post-mortem would be conducted to determine the identity of the bones.
“At the moment, we have classified the case as sudden death. This is until we find a new lead on the case after the post-mortem,” said Jaimi.
Aside from the bones, the police also found a pair of slippers with the brand Supreme.
Jaimi told that they were investigating on whether the discovery was connected to an elderly man aged 61 who went missing two months ago.
A missing person report was lodged at Lutong Police Station.
