Trainees from the first cohort of Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) Smart Manufacturing System and Certified Digital Marketing Professional courses are eager to begin their skills training at CENTEXS Lundu in mid-October.

These two programmes are part of the 18 training courses offered at CENTEXS Lundu, covering technical, electrical, digital, and fashion fields over a two-month period.

The courses are designed to meet the evolving needs of the industry. Each student received a full scholarship valued at over RM40,000 and will be awarded BOSCH-accredited certificates upon completion for the Smart Manufacturing System course.

BOSCH, a renowned German multinational engineering and electronics firm, is the world’s largest supplier of automotive components.

I expect to learn many technical skills needed in the industry and also build a network within this field. After completing the programme, I aim to broaden my professional network and secure employment in the digital sector, with the BOSCH certificate enhancing my prospects.”

Hemas Srinathan

HEMAS SRINATHAN, 25, from Selangor, enrolled in the Smart Manufacturing System programme

“After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Science and Physics at the University of Malaya, I researched CENTEXS and learned that BOSCH is a strategic partner. This opportunity is a golden chance to develop my engineering skills to the next level. I don’t have a background in engineering, but my bachelor’s degree is somewhat related to it. Through this course, I want to learn more about engineering, not just for myself but for others as well.”


Wan Nurfaihana Wan Rusmadi

WAN NURFAIHANA WAN RUSMADI, 24, from Pahang, enrolled in the Smart Manufacturing System programme

“I previously trained at a semiconductor company and noticed the use of smart manufacturing systems. When this course was offered, it gave me the opportunity to go further in this industry, including electronics, automotive, and other fields. Despite having no background in engineering, I believe that earning the BOSCH certification will not only change my life and my family’s but also enable me to help others.”

HAZMAN HAZIQ MOHD AMIR KHAN, 24, from Perlis, enrolled in the Smart Manufacturing System programme

“This programme will enhance my skills in the systems field. With the rise of the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0, job opportunities are expanding, and CENTEXS’ initiative aligns with the nation’s need for a skilled workforce.”
