SKAS: Samarahan counter draws queues; Asajaya next

KOTA SAMARAHAN: More than 100 beneficiaries of the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) participated in the Sarawak ID and S Pay Global Registration Programme organised by the Samarahan District Office.

The first day of the counter opening at Dewan Suarah Kota Samarahan on Saturday, saw people queuing to get their queue numbers.

The programme, which runs from 9am to 5pm, also aims to assist eligible residents in applying for SKAS, as well as guiding them in filling out online applications, including checking their eligibility status.

Deputy Resident of the Samarahan Division, Rais Ahmat, and Samarahan District Officer, Ahmad Abdul Razak, were present to oversee the smooth operation of the programme.

Out of 26,170 eligible households, 13,071 have successfully registered, while 13,099 have not done so.

Local residents who have not yet registered are encouraged to come to Dewan Suarah before Jan 20 to ensure they do not miss the opportunity to receive the assistance.

The programme will take place next in Asajaya district from Jan 21 to 23 at the SJK Chung Hua Asajaya Multi-Purpose Hall; Sebuyau (Jan 24 and 25)  at the Sebuyau Town Futsal Court; and Simunjan (Jan 24 and 25) at the Simunjan Community Hall.
