BINTULU: People who have yet to register for Sarawak ID and SPay Global to receive the Sarawak Basic Needs Assistance (SKAS) can still do so at the Bintulu District Office or Tanjong Batu State Assembly Service Center.
A three-day registration programme held from February 26 to 28 at the Bintulu Auditorium recorded over 2,000 applications, with staff working diligently to assist applicants through the process.
Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming acknowledged that the verification process takes time but expressed gratitude to the public for their patience.
“For those who haven’t registered, don’t worry — you can still do so at the Bintulu District Office or my People’s Service Center,” he said during a site visit to review the registration process alongside Bintulu Deputy Resident Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkey and Bintulu District Officer Awang Mohamed Nizam Awang Ali Bohan at the auditorium, here today (Feb 28).
Pang emphasised that Sarawak ID and SPay Global are essential for SKAS recipients, as the aid will be directly credited to their SPay Global e-wallet accounts.
“Sarawak ID serves as a single login system for accessing various state government services,” he added.
For registration or further inquiries, individuals can visit the Bintulu District Office or the Tanjong Batu State Assembly Service Center during operating hours.
