MIRI: A special registration programme for recipients of the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) will be held at the Dewan Suarah here from Jan 24 to 26, from 8 am to 5 pm.
The Sarawak Information Systems (SAINS) said that the programme was organised in collaboration with the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), and the Public Service Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU).
“It aims to provide support to assistance recipients facing difficulties in registering for Sarawak ID and S Pay Global,” said the statement today (Jan 24).
It added that the service counters at the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Miri will operate as usual to facilitate the registration process.
Meanwhile, Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, during a meeting at the Baitulmakmur Building on Thursday, suggested that SAINS provide comprehensive training to staff at the State Constituencies Service Centres.
He said that the training is crucial to enhance service efficiency as it will enable them to offer more effective assistance to walk-in applicants.
Following the request, SAINS had agreed to assess the need for such trainings in the near future and, if necessary, conduct the training online.
