KUCHING: A Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) engagement session for Kuching area will be held at the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) headquarters from Jan 24 to 26 from 8am to 5pm.
Among the key services provided during the engagement session are the registration and troubleshooting of Sarawak ID, SPay Global and SKAS applications. Officers from SAINs, the Resident’s Office, and the District Office will be present to assist eligible applicants throughout the event.
“Ineligible individuals are advised not to attend the engagement session. However, they may file an appeal via the same website starting from February 2025 until March 31, 2025.
“Applicants attending the session must bring their smartphone and identification card. Only Anak Sarawak holding an IC with the letter “K” are eligible to apply for SKAS,” it said on Thursday (Jan 23).
Eligibility for the SKAS programme is based on data from the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) updated until Phase 4, 2024. Eligible recipients fall under three categories.
The first category includes households, which consist of married individuals or single parents, widows, widowers, or divorcees with dependents such as children or parents. Their monthly gross income must be RM5,000 or below, and there is no age limit for this category.
The second category covers single individuals, including single parents, widows, widowers, or divorcees with no dependents. Their monthly gross income must be RM2,500 or below, and they must be aged between 21 and 59 years old, or in the case of single Persons with Disabilities (PWD), aged 19 and above.
