KUCHING: Sarawak ID and SPay Global account registration and checking counters for Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) recipients in the Sarikei district are open for three days starting today until January 26 at the Sarikei Division Sarawak Government Administration Centre.
The opening of the counters is one of the state government’s initiatives to ensure all SKAS recipients who have not successfully registered in the application can fully utilise the services provided.
Corina King, 51, a volunteer on duty, expressed her gratitude to the state government for the SKAS assistance. She also hoped for more flexibility for the elderly and that the assistance could be provided in cash or directly credited into their accounts.
Meanwhile, Tuai Rumah Patrick Jigat, 51, shared his happiness about the SKAS programme and expressed his hope that it would continue next year to help alleviate the burden of rising living costs faced by the people.
The registration process, which requires an identity card and smartphone as prerequisites, ensures that the local community does not miss out on receiving Sarawak government assistance through digital platforms.
