SIBU: Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) Sibu successfully held a meeting with its supreme exco here yesterday.
The meeting was led by its chairperson Angelyn Uchi Maseng and also attended by its two advisors Datuk Ir Alice Jawan and Catherine Nain Abit.
At the meeting, Uchi told the media that this year is a challenging year for them because they will organise three big events.
According to her, the three big events are the Sarawak Pua Kumbu Weaving Competition, Sibu Division Pre-Gawai ceremony and SIDS Sibu 30th anniversary dinner.
She also added that SIDS Sibu’s annual general meeting (AGM) is expected to be held on March at Paramount Hotel.
“There will be no selection of new committee members during the AGM because our session is from 2018-2020.”
“It is only a meeting on financial report, our activities and other related matters,” she explained.
