SIBU: The intersection at Jalan Alan will be closed from Feb 3 to 5 beginning 10 pm to 5 am.
The Sibu Water Board (SWB) said the road closure is necessary to ensure the smooth execution of road excavation works and the installation of a 1200mm mild steel cement lined main pipe.
“Road users are advised to use alternative routes to enter and exit Jalan Alan during the construction period,” SWB said in a statement today.
SWB hopes that all road users will adhere to the directional signs and safety boards provided.
“Our contractors will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
“Should weather conditions or site circumstances be unfavourable, the work will be carried out on the next available day.
“Your full cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we deeply regret any inconvenience caused,” it said.
