KUCHING: Two siblings managed to escape from their burning double-storey house in Kampung Rampangi here last Saturday (Oct 24).

Both victims, aged 55 and 57, were unharmed during the 7.40pm incident.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, firefighters of Petra Jaya and Padungan Fire and Rescue Stations were deployed to the scene after a distress call pertaining to the incident was received.

Upon arrival, Petra Jaya fire chief PKPgB Azaharul Sahari reported that the 20×25-feet house and a car were destroyed.

The operations ended at 9.28pm and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
