SIBU: Seven teams will be participating in the 2025 Golden Jubilee Basketball Tournament, held in celebration of the Rimbunan Hijau Group’s 50th anniversary.

The teams taking part are RH HQ, Subur Tiasa Team A, Subur Tiasa Dynasty, R Sawit Superstar, GSA, Subur Tiasa Team B, and Jaya Tiasa.

Organised by Mafrica Group, the tournament is scheduled to take place from April 8 to 12 at the Catholic High School basketball court here.

Organising chairman Datuk Thomas Tieng Mee Tung said the event is a tribute to the dedication and hard work of Rimbunan Hijau employees and a symbol of the company’s ongoing commitment to progress.

“This tournament reflects the spirit of unity and togetherness that has driven Rimbunan Hijau’s success over the past 50 years.

“It also serves as a platform to strengthen ties among staff and the wider community,” he said at a press conference on Thursday.

A number of special awards will be presented, including Best Coach, Best Captain, the Sportsmanship Award, and Top 3-Point Shooter.
