KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kuching Branch wants the government to set up more vaccination centres to expedite the Covid-19 vaccination process.
“We would also like the government to consider letting the public choose their preferred vaccine,” said its deputy chairman Bong Lian Huan today.
“I think this is also one of the fastest ways to achieve herd immunity,” he told the media after distributing 150 carnations to female hawkers at the Petanak Market here in conjunction with the coming Mother’s Day celebration.
He added that Kuching SUPP was always ready to assist those yet to register for vaccination.
“For those who are unable to register via MySejahtera, we can help. We provide a way for them to register so that they can receive the vaccine as soon as possible.”
On Friday’s event, Bong said it was to show appreciation to all mothers.
“Also, Petanak Market was closed on May 6 due to one confirmed case. This may have affected business here.
“As such, we also wanted to show our care and concern for the traders here.”
