KUCHING: Serba Dinamik Group Bhd (SDGB) has been named as one of the premier partners under the Malaysian Pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai (Dubai 2020).
SDGB group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said the group’s participation in the activity would bring about various business opportunities towards penetrating the global market.
“Those involved in the Dubai 2020 programme will be given a day to celebrate the national day of their country and in this context is Malaysia Day.
“This is planned to be held on January 8 next year and we are the premier sponsor of the event.
“Through this programme, we can promote our abilities as a company,” he said in a televised interview with Bernama on Tuesday (Mar 30).
He said the expo, from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 was expected to attract some 25 million visitors, according to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was rescheduled because of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
“Some of our participation include a one-to-one business discussion and we are also going to be given certain slots to present what we can do and what we can produce in terms of contribution from different countries,” he explained.
Abdul Karim also said this would allow Serba Dinamik to develop a relationship with the decision-makers of certain countries which would ease its ambition in expanding its businesses to the countries.
“I hope that it can uplift the name of Malaysia in the eyes of other countries and those involved can obtain new business opportunities in the future.
“This is a platform for companies to invest and reap the results in the future,” said Abdul Karim.
