SERIAN: A 70-year-old man who had been missing for days was found on the fourth day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation yesterday.

The victim, identified as Ngiang Tungkat, who went missing on Jan 11 while checking on a fish trap across a river at Kampung Tuie Kanan Salcra Melikin, was found in a farm at Kampung Entayan around 12pm.

According to operation officer PPgB James Gani, Ngiang was found by villagers in a farm within a 1KM radius of the SAR base.

“The man was found safe but in a weak condition, and he was later sent to Serian Hospital for treatment.

“The whole operation wrapped up at 1pm,” he said.

The fourth day of the operation was headed by PBK I Julie along with 14 firefighters; a canine team, led by PBK II Dennis and PBK II Steven; six police officers; ten Civil Defence Force members; and 30 villagers.
