KUCHING: A tragic collision between two vehicles claimed the life of a 67-year-old man at Bau-Kuching road, near Kampung Bumbok today (Feb 5).
The accident, which occurred around 3.04 pm, involved a lorry and a Perodua Myvi.
Firefighters from the Batu Lintang station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, the team discovered the Myvi’s driver trapped inside his vehicle, with the lorry driver reportedly unharmed.
A swift extrication operation was launched to rescue the trapped driver.
Despite the successful extraction, the Myvi’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The operation concluded at 3.53 pm.
