Senari Synergy subsidiaries recognised for environmental commitment

KUCHING: Senari Synergy subsidiaries IOT Management Sdn Bhd (IOTM) and Tanjung Manis Oil Distribution Terminal Management Sdn Bhd (TMOTM) are honoured to receive the prestigious 11th Premier of Sarawak Environmental Award (PSEA) 2023/2024.

This recognition highlights their unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices in Sarawak.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated at the awards ceremony.

In a press statement, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz, Chairman of Senari Synergy, expressed pride in the organisation’s achievement.

“This award highlights our steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability and showcases the collective efforts of our team in balancing environmental wellbeing with business excellence.

“It motivates us to continue setting new standards for eco-friendly practices in Sarawak and beyond,” he said.

At the event, IOTM received the Gold Award in the Large Enterprise Category, while TMOTM earned the Gold Award in the Medium Enterprise Category.

Both were recognised for their efforts in reducing environmental impact through advanced waste management, energy efficiency improvements, carbon footprint reduction, sustainable technologies, and promoting environmental awareness among stakeholders and the community.

Datuk Haji Jefri Ahmad Tambi, Group Managing Director of Senari Synergy, emphasised that the recognition reflects the success of their sustainability strategies and reinforces their commitment to preserving Sarawak’s natural resources.

“This recognition highlights the success of our sustainability-driven strategies and reaffirms our commitment to preserving Sarawak’s natural resources.

“We remain dedicated to fostering a greener future while contributing to the state’s socio-economic development,” he said.

For the record, the PSEA represents the highest state-level honour for environmental excellence, recognising organisations that excel in promoting environmental sustainability, adhering to environmental regulations, and integrating eco-friendly practices into their operations.
