KUCHING: Hundreds of visitors at UTC Sarawak were treated to a warm bowl of bubur lambuk as SEDC Permata Sdn Bhd continued its annual Ramadhan tradition of cooking and distributing the beloved dish.
Held at Topspot Foodcourt yesterday (Mar 22), the Bubur Lambuk Cooking and Distribution Programme saw SEDC Permata staff working together in a gotong-royong effort to prepare and distribute 600 servings of the savoury rice porridge to the public.
The initiative aimed to strengthen community ties while sharing the blessings of Ramadan with visitors and those in need.
SEDC Permata chief executive officer Nazrin Ali Hossien, who officiated at the event, emphasised the importance of such programmes in fostering unity and camaraderie, expressing his hope that the initiative would continue as an annual tradition to promote togetherness during the holy month.
The distribution began at exactly 2 pm and was met with an overwhelming response, with all servings handed out within just half an hour.
