AMMAN: The staff of the Jordanian Private Field Hospital/2 in the southern Gaza Strip has commenced admitting patients and visitors to provide them with necessary medical and therapeutic services, Jordan news agency (Petra) reported.
“The hospital was built in accordance with royal orders to satisfy the needs of the people of Gaza,” the hospital’s commander said.
He further elaborated that the facility, designed to supplement the existing hospital in Gaza,aims to alleviate the suffering of the people in the Gaza Strop during these challenging times.
He emphasised that due to the proficiency of its specialised medical staff, the hospital is regarded as a distinguished medical centre.
“This is particularly noteworthy given the severe shortage of medical services in the sector’s hospitals,” he said.
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and devices across various medical specialties, contributing to Jordan’s historical role in supporting the Palestinian people.
In response, the people of Gaza expressed gratitude for Jordan’s honourable stance towards the Palestinian people and its continued support for the Palestinian cause under the leadership of King Abdullah.
The hospital encompasses departments for emergency care, general internal medicine, intensive care (ICU), men’s and women’s health, prematurity care, obstetrics and gynecology, a laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and sterilisation rooms.
Additionally, it features 41 beds and two operating rooms dedicated to performing urgent surgical operations. — BERNAMA-PETRA
