KUCHING: 30 U.S Marines   came to Sarawak Scout Academy (SSA) for a Community Outreach Programme recently.

It was an unforgettable experience for the Scouts who met them.

Clad in their   uniforms, the Marines participated sportingly in the activities conducted by the Academy such as wall climbing, flying fox, kayaking and playing football.

Meanwhile, many excited Scouts bravely put their communication skills to test by interacting with the U.S Marines in English.

The U.S Marines also presented a mini live concert and  a short first aid session with the Scouts.

At the closing ceremony, Sarawak Chief Commissioner, Sudaryo Osman said  he was delighted with the programme which was in line with the Scout mission to promote world peace through the Messenger of Peace programmes.

The presence of the U.S Marines in Sarawak was most welcomed as it could strengthen  bilateral relationship between the two countries, he added.
