KUCHING: St Joseph’s International School, here has announced remarkable achievements in the November 2024 Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations, showcasing a significant leap in academic performance compared to the previous year.
According to a press release, this year students excelled across various subjects, including the newly introduced Bahasa Malaysia as First Language, further highlighting the school’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and adaptability.
A total of 14 students achieved straight As, with exceptional results from Kieran Alexandre Yong Yun Hau (9A), Jesslyn Ting Jie (9A), Leanne Ting Jen Jie (9A and 1A), and Evonne Wong Yuan Yan (9A and 1A).
“These exceptional students have not only excelled academically but have also embodied the school’s values of humility, grace, and kindness. They also excelled in extracurricular activities,” the statement said.
Principal Robert Teoh commended the students’ dedication and perseverance.
“Our students continue to impress us with their talent and work ethic, serving as role models for our younger students.
“We are also proud of our teachers, who are always willing to go the extra mile to provide a holistic education that nurtures both academic and personal growth,” he said.
