SIBU: A Satellite Office Services (Program Perkhidmatan Pejabat Satelit) and Dialogue Session programme will be held at three locations on Aug 6, 13, and 20.

The programme is organised by the Sungai Empawah Neighbourhood Watch Committee (KRT) in collaboration with various village security and development committees (JKKK) such as JKKK Sungai Empawah, JKKK Paradom, JKKK Tung Nam Poh, JKKK Sungai Maaw, JKKK Seberang Ensurai/Tanjung Kunyit/Tanjung Pan, JKKK Tanjung Ensurai, JKKK Bukit Lan, JKKK Sungai Bidut/Telok Bango/Bukit Igu, and the Rejang Medical Centre.

“Starting from 9am to 3pm, it aims to provide rural residents with opportunities for free health check-ups, registration for the Kenyalang Gold Card, welfare assistance applications, and more,” said Sungai Empawah KRT chairman Kapitan Wong Hua.

“At the same time, participants will have the chance to engage in dialogue sessions with relevant agencies,” he said at a press conference at the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), Bawang Assan office here on Friday (Aug 4).

The first location is the SJKC Ung Nang hall on Aug 6, to be inaugurated by Meluan assemblyman Rolland Duat Jubin. It will continue at SMK Chung Cheng hall on Aug 13, to be officiated by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, who is also the Marudi assemblyman.

The final place will be at SM Kwong Ming hall on Aug 20, to be officiated by federal Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, who is also the Bintulu MP and Dudong assemblyman.

Various services will be provided during the programme, including free health screenings such as cervical and breast cancer screenings, blood pressure checks, blood sugar level tests, repairing damaged identity cards, and free dental check-ups.

Other services offered include public complaint services, registration for the Kenyalang Gold Card, welfare assistance applications, legal advice services, Perkeso applications, and E-kasih assistance applications.
“In addition, CIMB bank account registration is provided, with a fee of RM100 for those aged 12 to 18, and RM20 for those aged 18 and above.”

Moreover, dialogue sessions will be held with relevant agencies from 10.30am to 12.30pm, including the Sibu District Office, Sibu Rural District Council, Sibu Water Board, National Registration Department, Sesco Berhad Central Region Sibu, Public Works Department, Telekom Malaysia, Drainage and Irrigation Department, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, Department of Social Welfare, Immigration Department, and Royal Malaysian Police.

The programme on Aug 20 will also include a blood donation campaign organised by PDP Bawang Assan and Sungai Empawah KRT.
“The public, especially those living nearby, are invited to attend and participate in the dialogue sessions,” Wong added.
