KUCHING: Saribas United, a team made up of many junior players, are setting a high target in the Betong League.
“We’re aiming to be in the top four in Group A.
“It is not going to be easy because the other sides in the group are strengthened by experienced players. We on the other hand are made up of players under the age of 20 and 25,” head coach Busrah Ahmad told Arena Suara Sarawak.
“However, we are going to give this league our best. We have been preparing well over the past few weeks so I’m confident we can achieve our objective.”
Saribas United have also played a few friendlies as part of their preparations. “Hopefully, the boys will be able to bring everything they learned during training to the tournament proper later.”
The Betong League will begin this Saturday (July 23) and Saribas United are grouped together with Freelance FC, Krian United, Jang BS, Saratok FA and Semarang Village United.
The first match of the group stage sees Saribas United taking on Semarang Village United on July 24 at the Betong Sports Complex.
