KUCHING: The 2nd Sarawak Inter-Secondary Schools Futsal Championships 2025 is set to take place on May 10-11 at SMK Tabuan Jaya’s Futsal Court, promising an electrifying showcase of young talent and intense competition.

Organised by United Sports Recreation Club and co-organised by Swinburne Sarawak FC, the tournament is supported by the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS).

FIGOS Sportswear serves as the official tournament ball sponsor, with This Fashion Co as a co-sponsor. FIGOS will provide tournament-grade futsal balls to ensure professional playing standards.

Organising chairman Sylvester Lim expressed excitement for the event, which is open to U17 boys from Sarawak’s secondary schools.

“This championship not only encourages youth participation in sports but also instils discipline, teamwork, and perseverance among students. We look forward to witnessing their talent and passion,” he said.

Lim also highlighted the tournament’s role in identifying and nurturing future state players, following Sarawak’s second-place finish in SUKMA Sarawak 2024.
