KUCHING: Sarawak is set to play a leading role in Southeast Asia’s transition towards clean energy as it prepares to host the Hydrogen Economy Forum (H2EF) 2025.

Taking place from May 13 to 14 at Hilton Kuching, the forum is an international platform aimed at promoting a future powered by hydrogen across the region.

It will bring together key players from industry, government and research sectors around the world, including delegations from Australia, Japan, Korea, Norway and Singapore.

Organised by the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia, and Borneo Business Connect, with support from Business Events Sarawak, the forum aims to foster meaningful partnerships and accelerate the formulation of forward-looking policies in the energy sector.

As a key event ahead of the Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference and Exhibition 2026, the forum is expected to generate strategic investments and strengthen global collaboration in support of Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap and worldwide decarbonisation efforts.
