KUCHING: The recently concluded Selangor Fashion Week 2019 (SFW) was a great opportunity to showcase Sarawak’s top talents and fashion products.
According to Anna Sue Couture founder Sharifah Suzana Wan Shukran, SFW 2019 was a platform for local designers to showcase their brands to fashion enthusiasts and enhance networking in the fashion industry.
She said fashion products from Sarawak were now ready and capable of penetrating the international market and hoped the state government could see the potential of Sarawak’s fashion products.
On her involvement in SFW 2019, Sharifah Suzana said the opportunity to participate in the event was a valuable and challenging experience as she had to highlight her products and compete with the designers from Malaya.
The 47-year-old fashion advised young designers to love everything they do and to be patient as fashion was a challenging industry.
“Continue honing your talents, brace yourself for new knowledge and don’t be shy to ask seniors anything you don’t know about the fashion world.
“In addition, you have to be brave to appear in any fashion show and continue to expand your network to the next level,” she added
