KUCHING: State Secretary Datuk Amar Abu Bakar Marzuki has called on all employees within the Sarawak Civil Service to continuously strive for transformation, stay prepared, and foster hope for collective prosperity.

He emphasised that the achievements and progress made thus far are a direct result of hard work and the spirit of unity from all individuals.

“On this occasion, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all civil servants for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.

“Our success and progress are the outcomes of our collective hard work and the unity we share,” he stated in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri video message shared by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

He also expressed his gratitude to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and the entire leadership of the Sarawak government for their continued support of the Sarawak civil service.

Reflecting on the celebration, Abu Bakar noted that every year, Muslims in Sarawak celebrate Aidilfitri in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

“This is the beauty and uniqueness of Sarawak, where we live in prosperity and harmony, surrounded by a diverse community of different religions and ethnicities.

“Therefore, let us continue the tradition of visiting one another to ensure it thrives in our society, while further strengthening our bonds of friendship.

“Invite our friends and family members from all walks of life and different faiths, to join in celebrating this joy,” he added.

In addition, he advised those planning to travel back to their hometowns or visit relatives to prioritise safety on the road.

“Drive with caution and mindfulness, so that we arrive safely at our destination,” he said.
