The search and rescue (SAR) efforts to find the final victim of the Air Putih water surge tragedy, 14-year-old Putri Nor Fatin Karim, are still underway.

The operation is employing a targeted search approach, focusing on the specific area where the victim was last located, while also expanding the search radius to nearby regions, said Terengganu fire chief Azman Alias as quoted by Bernama.

With a team of 250 dedicated personnel, the SAR operation commenced last week.

The bodies of the nine other victims, who were discovered in the aftermath of the water surge incident, have already been laid to rest.
