KUCHING: S Pay Global has issued a scam alert, warning users to be cautious of phishing attempts through email and SMS designed to steal banking and credit card information.
The digital platform said that scammers are sending messages that mimic official communication, directing users to fake websites that appear legitimate.
“Scammers are using emails and SMS to lure you to ‘real-looking’ websites designed to steal your banking and credit card information,” it said in a Facebook statement.
To stay safe, users are advised to avoid clicking on links in emails or SMS and instead verify any requests by visiting the official S Pay Global website directly.
If you believe you have fallen victim to a scam, report it immediately by calling S Pay Global’s customer service at 082-224 599 or the National Scam Response Centre at 997.
Victims should also file a police report as soon as possible.
