KUCHING: An interactive session titled “Rukun Negara: Do You(th) think it’s important?” will be organised by Owl & Badger Research in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Malaysia’s Rukun Negara on Saturday (Sept 12) at Grand Margherita Hotel here.
“The three-hour event is free and starts from 9am, and the event calls for voices of youth aged from 16 to 27.
“This programme is part of Owl & Badger Research’s efforts to engage with youths on the relevance and significance of the principles of Rukun Negara by reflecting on our daily life,” it said in a statement issued today.
The session will be moderated by Owl & Badger Research managing partner Deborah Dris, and will include audience participation, a dialogue, and live polling through mobile phone.
Participants will be given a certificate of participation. Tea and lunch will also be provided.
Sarawak National Youth Organisation, Pending Branch, Teach for Malaysia Alumni Association and The Sarawak Drive, are supporting the programme.
In line with the Covid-19 standard order procedure, the session will be limited to 50 participants to avoid overcrowding.
Temperature checks will be taken and hand sanitizers will also be provided at the venue.
Social distancing will also be enforced with participants seated at least 1m apart at all times.
