NIAH: Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey visited and inspected the condition of public facilities at Sepupok Park, here located in front of the shops, today.

This visit is in response to complaints from senior citizens who frequently exercise in this park.

“There have been complaints about the road barriers in Sepupok Park being too high, posing a danger to senior citizens,” said Rosey through a press statement today (Jan 24).

“There was an incident where a senior citizen fell because the barrier was too high, making it difficult for them to step over,” she explained.

She urged the local authorities to consider addressing the issue to ensure the safety of senior citizens in the area.

“It is understood that the park sees many people exercising in the evening,” she said.
