BARAM: The road upgrade from Lapok to Long Tisam is set to begin at the end of next year.
Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Datuk Dr. Penguang Manggil said the project will benefit residents in the areas of Long Tuyut, Long Tabing, Long Teran, Long Jegan, Long Takong, and Long Tisam, Tinjar.
“We urge local residents to cooperate with the project implementers,” he said when officiating at the new Yesus Tuhan Multipurpose Hall recently.
Dr. Penguang, who is also the Marudi assemblyman, suggested that longhouses apply for cemetery land and access roads to cemeteries through the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR).
“UNIFOR is prepared to help facilitate these requests,” he added.
