KUCHING: Four clean water supply projects amounting to RM61 million in Kabong constituency are scheduled to commence this month and January next year.

Three of the projects will start this month, and the other one on January 2019, said Kabong Assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir when debating the State Supply Bill (2019) at the State Assembly (DUN) sitting yesterday.

“The three projects are pipe replacement and associated works at Kampung Hulu Laut and Kampung Hilir Laut Kabong; pipeline construction from fishermen association shop to various villages along the riverbank; and pipeline construction from Cr Ahim’s to Jalan Gerigat.

“Meanwhile, pipeline construction from reservoir at Roban’s junction to existing Kabong booster station complete with storage tank and associated works will be constructed in early next year,” he explained.

He added four longhouses in Ulu Roban have yet connected with clean water supply.
