RM40,000 cash prizes for Kuching City Open 2017

KUCHING: A total of RM40,000 cash prizes to be win in the Kuching City Open 2017 (KCO17) Darts Championship scheduled from Dec 8 to 10. The Kuching Nor th Ci t y Commission (DBKU) public relations officer, said the three-day competition will be held at the Stadium Perpaduan, Petra Jaya.

The opening ceremony will be officiated by Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, the Mayor of DBKU on Dec 8, at 9:00am. According to Norhayati, the competition was recognised by the World Dart Federation (WDF) as well as support from the Malaysian Dart Association (MDA) where it will be held for the second time here, Sarawak.

He added that KCO17 also received support and sponsorships from the government, private, and non governmental organisations, including the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC, Bank Rakyat Branch Sarawak, Riverside Shopping Mall, Riverside Majestic Hotel, Sarawak Dart Society and Kuching Dart Society. The competition will be divided into two categories, namely Team Category (4 persons) and Open Individual Category for men and women.

Those interested in joining the KCO17 Darts Championship may contact the DBKU Community Relations and Social Services Division at 082-236223. The closing date for entries is on November 30.
