BINTANGOR: The water pipeline in the residential area of Sg Mador will be upgraded starting this month, with an allocation of RM3 million, says Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing.
The Meradong assemblyman added that additionally, RM100,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) fund has been allocated to upgrade the multipurpose hall at SJKC Kung Cheng this year.
“These (projects) demonstrates the Sarawak government’s continued commitment to improving education and infrastructure in the area.
“This initiative is hoped to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing better basic facilities,” he said during the SJKC Kung Cheng prize-giving ceremony on Wednesday (Jan 15).
During the programme, he expressed his appreciation to the students for their achievements in various fields.
“These successes are not only a testament to the students’ hard work but also to the dedication of teachers and the support of parents.”
Ding also stressed the importance of digital education in producing a competitive generation, urging all parties, including the government, educators and parents, to work hand in hand to achieve this goal.
With the various initiatives announced, the school is not only expected to continue excelling but also to serve as a catalyst for the development of the local community.
At the event, Ding also allocated a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant of RM5,000 to fund the annual activities of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) next year.
Also present at the ceremony were Meradong District education officer Sharifah Idawati Wan Ahmad, SJKC Kung Cheng headmaster Chiew Hua Kin and other invited guests.
