BALAI RINGIN: The government has allocated RM10,000 to help flood victims at Kampung Muding,  Balai Ringin assemblyman Snowdan Lawan  disclosed after visiting the victims.

The floods that hit Kampung Muding, about 150 kilometers from here destroyed the residents’ rice fields and disrupted the supply of clean water to the kampung.

“I hope this allocated amount can lighten the villagers’ burden and help cover part of the costs of repairing damages caused by the flood and replaced items destroyed by the deluge.

“Natural disasters cannot be controlled by humans so  sometimes we just have learn to accept them,” he told reporters here yesterday.

Snowdan also went for a walk along a 120-feet long run-down bridge connecting Kampung Muding Ulu and Kampung Muding Ili to get a good look at its condition.

Also present was Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Muding headmaster Zemi Bujang.
