KUCHING: The music video Riuh Raya, featuring talented Sarawakian artistes, was officially released on YouTube yesterday (March 21), bringing a fresh perspective to the national hari raya music scene.

Showcasing Sarawak’s rich cultural identity, local talents, and the festive spirit of hari raya, Riuh Raya is the brainchild of Arabyrd, who performs alongside Ila Damiaa and veteran singer Safar Ghaffar.

Arabyrd shared that the song was designed to blend old and new traditions in celebrating hari raya.

“I wanted to create a song that delivers a feel-good experience without relying on viral formulas or sampling old choruses with a modern twist.

“So, together with Ila and Abang Safar, we worked on an original composition.

“Once the song was completed, we submitted it to Universal Music Malaysia, and we are grateful they accepted it.

“From song-writing to production and the music video, every individual involved is 100 per cent Sarawakian.

“We hope this song reaches every Malaysian while also promoting Sarawak’s culture and language.

The song was written by Arabyrd, Emansushii and Ila Damiaa, with composition by Emansushii.
