MARUDI: Heavy rain since Saturday has caused water levels to rise by approximately two inches along Jalan Dabai here on Sunday morning.
In response to the situation, a team of Civil Defence (APM) personnel from here was swiftly deployed to the area to monitor the flooding and ensure public safety.
Civil Defence officer Lt. (PA) Mirwan Shah Masri confirmed that roads in the area remained accessible to all types of vehicles.
“The situation is under control and residents are advised to stay vigilant and monitor water levels closely. Should conditions worsen, they must prioritise their safety and evacuate promptly,” Mirwan said.
Authorities continue to keep a close watch on the area as weather conditions develop.
