KUCHING: Sarawak’s Mohd Rifdean Masdor is set to step back into the ONE Championship ring on May 9, to cement his place among the sport’s elite.
At just 22, the Sarawakian striker has already made waves in the combat sports world, representing Sor Sommai Headhunter Academy of Ipoh.
This upcoming clash marks his fourth appearance under the ONE banner, and with five weeks to go, preparations are now in full swing although the identity of his opponent have yet to be disclosed.
Rifdean holds a 2-1 record, bouncing back from a hard-fought loss in January to Thailand’s Petninmungkorn Namkang.
His debut in 2024 stunned fans when he dismantled Pichai Lookbanmai with a TKO in just 79 seconds.
He followed it up in his second fight with a devastating KO win over Petaek Sitbigjasskonrakpathum, showing that his early success was no fluke.
Now, with momentum to reclaim and a point to prove, Rifdean steps forward once again – not just to fight, but to make a statement.
