SRI AMAN: A local man narrowly avoided a fiery death when his motorcycle burst into flames following a collision near the Temudok rest and refreshment (R&R) stop yesterday.
The accident involved a pick-up truck and a high-powered motorcycle. After the collision, the motorcycle burst into flames.
Firefighters from the Sri Aman station were deployed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 3.13 pm.
Upon arrival, the team promptly extinguished the flames, moved the burnt motorcycle to the roadside, and conducted flushing works to ensure the road was passable for other vehicles.
Fortunately, the rider sustained only minor injuries and received on-site treatment from paramedics.
He was later taken to Sri Aman Hospital for further medical attention.
Once the road was deemed safe for other motorists, the team concluded the operation.
