KUCHING: Waking up every morning feeling truly refreshed — without tossing, turning, or waking up in a puddle of sweat — is what one hopes for.

Therefore, Revor, Malaysia’s leading luxury mattress brand, aims to bring just that to Sarawakians as it makes its debut at the Modern Living Home Expo 2025.

With Sarawak’s economy on the rise, Revor Malaysia manager David Wong said now is the perfect time to introduce the brand’s Belgian-engineered sleep technology to the local market.

“We’ve taken our time to study the market and determine the right moment to bring Revor to Sarawak. We know that this region has strong economic potential, and we want to offer high-quality products at reasonable prices,” he said.

Revor’s biggest edge over competitors is its exclusive partnership with Novaya, the world’s largest latex manufacturer based in Belgium.

Wong explained that Novaya’s latex technology is far more advanced than what is currently available in Malaysia.

“We have collaborated with Novaya, the world’s largest latex manufacturer, which has a history of 135 years.

“Our latex materials are significantly different in quality compared to those available in Malaysia. For example, we have Black Diamond™ Latex, Pulse Latex, and Graphite Latex — these types of latex cannot be produced in Malaysia due to technological limitations,” he said during an exclusive interview with Sarawak Tribune at the Modern Living Home Expo, held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) yesterday (Feb 21).

He explained that Black Diamond™ Latex is coated with a mineral layer to keep it cooler, unlike standard Malaysian latex, which retains more heat.

The Pulse Latex offers elasticity and breathability, while the Graphite Latex has antibacterial and anti-mould properties, promoting a healthier sleep environment.

“Many have wondered why we have chosen Novaya all the way in Belgium, given that Malaysia also produces latex. The reason is that Belgium sources raw materials from the Asia-Pacific region but manufactures them using advanced European technology, resulting in a superior product,” he said.

Beyond comfort, Revor is also addressing modern sleep challenges, including exposure to electronic radiation from smartphones and tablets.

“Nowadays, people no longer read books before bed; they scroll through social media or watch videos, and this exposure to radiation can affect sleep quality.

“So, our mattresses are designed to reduce electromagnetic radiation, promoting better sleep,” he said.

Revor also distinguishes itself by being fully transparent with customers regarding its certifications.

He said that many brands display certification icons without proper accreditation, but Revor ensures customers can verify all documents on the spot.

“We have international certifications from top institutions such as LGA (Germany), ECO (Germany), GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard), and Eurolatex. These are official documents directly from our suppliers in Belgium.

“Many brands out there simply display certification icons without actually holding the proper accreditation, but we don’t believe in that. We want to be completely transparent, allowing both customers and suppliers to see the actual documents and verify the authenticity of our claims,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wong encouraged the public to visit Revor Malaysia’s first appearance in Sarawak at the expo, running from Feb 20 to 23, from 9 am to 11 pm.

“Come and drop by. During this expo, we will also be offering an exclusive 50 per cent discount and a buy-one-get-one-free promotion,” he said.

However, he noted that if customers are unable to visit the expo, Revor’s mattresses are also available at Bedding & Co., the largest bedding supply megastore in Sarawak and its exclusive distributor.
