MIRI: Minister in-charge for Miri Division Management Committee, Datuk Lee Kim Shin, has announced that Covid-19 screening for students returning here from the state’s higher education institutions has been completed.

He said on Sunday, 927 students had undergone swab tests for Covid-19.

“All their results were negative,” Lee said.

On behalf of the committee, Lee thanked all the students and their families for their cooperation and compliance with the test requirements when the contact tracing taskforce contacted them for swab collection appointments.

“The committee acknowledges the close cooperation and networking of the contact tracing taskforce which consists of personnel from Miri Health Department, Miri Hospital, Curtin University and Miri Community College volunteers, police, and district offices of Miri, Subis, Beluru, Marudi and Telang Usan under Miri Resident’s Office,” he said.
