KUCHING: The owner of local restaurant Nasi Kandar Line Q at Icom Square, has strongly refuted allegations that the establishment sells dog satay.

Restaurant owner, Sagubar Ali, made the denial following a viral social media post that circulated false information about their menu.

He said at about 11.42am on today (Oct 21) he received a message on WhatsApp along with several images from an acquaintance.

“The WhatsApp falsely claimed that my restaurant was selling dog satay and had apparently been posted online but removed shortly thereafter.

“Subsequently, I’ve filed a report with both the Padungan and Sekama police stations, seeking to address the false information and to ensure the safety and reputation of my establishment,” he said.

“All the meat used in my dishes is sourced from reliable suppliers, and some are purchased from local markets,” he added, emphasising their commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality.
