SARIKEI: Residents of Rumah Nyandang in Sungai Nansang Ulu Strass can now feel contented due to the completion of a road improvement project.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii who is also Sarikei MP has successfully secured funding for the 198-metre-long and 4-metre-wide road project via the federal government.
Following its completion, officials from Sarikei Service Centre, led by Gung Chiu Kion, conducted the road inspection yesterday.
Local residents, led by Tuai Rumah Nyandang, expressed gratitude to Huang for his commendable efforts.
“We are pleased with the project’s implementation and look forward to the convenience the well-built road will provide to the community,” he said.
